The city of Delhi has recorded an increase in the positivity rate or the number of people who test positive for every 100 tests. In 24 hours on Monday, 4,099 new cases and one fatality were reported. Today, the number of recorded cases reached 5,481, the most in more than seven months; three deaths were also reported.

In the recent 24 hours, India recorded 37379 new COVID-19 cases, more than the previous day's total of cases. The administration has been accelerating the vaccination campaign across the country.
India recorded 37,379 fresh Covid-19 cases and 124 deaths in the 24 hours ending 9 am Tuesday.
Delhi government apply restrictions under yellow alerts
Under the new restrictions, Schools, colleges and educational institutions, cinema halls and gyms will be shut and malls and shops will open on an odd-even basis within fixed hours. Delhi Metro will run with a 50 percent seating capacity. Night curfew between 10 pm and 5 am has already started.
